The best way we know to describe Big Dome Site Design is to cover a few of the basics and then show some examples.   We don't like to send a visitor to a page without giving them a way back to the main page.   We like to use a full set of buttons that link to all the pages on the site, like this site has on the side bar of each of these pages.   This site is using our custom made java buttons. We make the buttons to match each site's mood and colors.   We have also added links at the bottom of each page.  If someone takes the time to read everything we have to say on one page, we feel they should have the right to jump to the next page on the site.  They need to be able to move around the site at will, skipping what they don't want to see and yet putting all there is to offer right there in front of them all the time.
     At the Big Dome we love to do animations and think every site can make good use of a few.  We are well aware that anything can be over done and are careful about the sites loading time.  Animations do grab attention and can really make a site a great experience. 
     After a short time of having a commercial web site you wonder, "Who are these visitors I'm getting; are they improving my business?"  The answer to that is a good counter that lets you see what is going on with your site.  At The Big Dome we like Xoom counters with power stats.   A Xoom counter gives good information to the site owner and this information lets you know if you are on the right track.  You don't just want numbers, you want facts.  Facts like operating system, web browser, time of day and the host your visitor is using.  Xoom counters also tell you what country your visitor is coming from and gives you charts showing your site's activity.  We think a Xoom counter gives you a grip on the performance of your site. 
     One of the biggest parts of web design is site promotion.  This promotion starts with the very first few lines of html.  A designer must understand the inter workings of the major search engines or your site won't be found by many people.  Here at the Big Dome we spend a lot of time working on mastering the ever changing world of the internet.  Our web site promotions have been giving great results for our customers.
